Julie Chen Moonves is the host of the 22nd season, premiering on CBS on August 5, 2018. Chen Moonves served as the moderator and one of the early hosts of The Talk. It was her first broadcasting job as a desk assistant for ABC News' late-night show Nightline featuring Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is still among the journalists she admires.
