Mena Alexandra suvari born on February 13, 1979 in the USA is an actor, fashion designer and a model. In 1990, shortly after starting her career as model, Suvari began to appear in tv shows such as Boy Meets World. Her first film part in the drama Nowhere. The actress made her way to important roles thanks to her performance as a character in American Beauty for which she was nominated for the BAFTA Award and American Pie each of which garnered the attention of the world. Her next role was Loser (2000) in which she starred alongside American Pie actor Jason Biggs. She was later the role of the title role for the film Sugar & Spice (2002). She had appearances in the 2002 independent drama Spun and in the 2004 thriller feature Trauma. In addition, she was a part of the HBO the drama Six Feet Under. The show was an instant hit during 2004. In 2005 the Screen Actors Guild awarded her the title of one of the most outstanding cast members. In 2008, Suvari was part of several films including Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and the film adaptation of The Garden of Eden. Suvari appeared in fashion-related blogs and in various magazines such as Vogue and Lancome Paris Adaptive print ads. Suvari is a committed supporter and campaigner for the African Medical and Research Foundation. The organization is also active in issues of female empowerment and works with organizations that promote awareness of breast cancer and women's rights and the End Violence Against Women Campaign.
